QWC has six full-time and a number of part-time and casual staff who coordinate and manage QWC services and programs.

Chief Executive Officer
Kate Eltham
Kate has a background in creative industries and has previously worked as a small business consultant focusing on micro enterprises, non-profits and individual artists in the creative sectors. She supports the development of new opportunities for writers and publishers in the digital age through if:book Australia, QWC’s international centre of excellence for digital literature.

General Manager
Beth Flatley
Beth previously held the post of Education and Outreach Manager for the Queen's Theatre in East London. Part of her role was to lead a community arts development project that culminated in a biennial festival of new writing called writenow! Prior to this Beth was the Assistant Head of Senior School at a large secondary school in the UK, and a Drama and English teacher in Australia.

Membership Coordinator
Angela Slatter
Angela has extensive experience in tertiary education administration, having worked at the University of Queensland, the Australian Graduate School of Management and Queensland University of Technology, as well as in private industry. Angela holds a Masters (Research) in Creative Writing from QUT and is a prolific writer, with short stories published in Australia, the US, Canada and the UK.

Marketing and Programming Coordinator
Julie Beveridge
Julie has been with QWC since 2006 and brings to QWC vision, strategic scope and organisational skill. She was Festival Director for the Queensland Poetry Festival in 2008 and 2009 and has published two collections of poetry Rock'n'Roll Tuxedo and Home Is Where the Heartache Is through Small Change Press.

Communications & Publicity Officer
Lisette Ogg
Lisette is a Graduate of Queensland University of Technology’s Publishing & Editing course and Youth Arts Queensland’s Youth Artists Mentoring Program. Prior to QWC, she worked as a feature writer for magazines and within the public programs team of the State Library of Queensland. In 2008 she participated in the World Youth Congress in Canada, looking at the role creativity and community development can play to help achieve the UN’s Millennium Goals. In the future, she looks forward to more amazing QWC projects across regional Queensland and volunteering with Indigenous Community Volunteers.

WQ Editor
Jodi De Vantier
Jodi's project management skills and problem solving abilities have been crucial in the implementation of the new-look AWMonline website. Having recently taken the reins as Editor of WQ. Her vision is behind the luscious redesign of QWC's monthly magazine, WQ. She has BA(Hons) in English from the University of Queensland and holds an ambition to become a book editor.

Finance Officer
Terry Sheather
Terry has worked in finance for a range of Australian arts organisations. With an eye for detail and extensive experience in the industry, he works with the General Manager to ensure the smooth running of the organisation. He currently also works for Circa, JLX and Elision.

The Australian Writer's Marketplace Coordinator
Meg Vann
Meg is a recent Graduate in Writing, Editing and Publishing from The University of Queensland. She is currently working on her manuscript for a crime fiction novel. Her background as a community worker will strengthen AWMonline as a flourishing online community for writers
Administration Assistant
Samantha Littley
Samantha has a background in art history and museums and was previously Curator of Australian Art to 1970 at the Queensland Art Gallery. She gave up this career to see her daughter through her first years of school, and to pursue a long-held desire to write fiction.

Wendy Barron
Wendy is an environmental scientist and freelance writer currently working for CSIRO and environmental consultants, Simmonds & Bristow. She has published in various media forms from magazines through to scientific journals and government reports.

Belinda Jeffrey
Belinda currently works for QWC alongside coordinating author events and publicity for Brisbane's Better Bookshops. Her short story The Hallelujah Roof was published in the 2007 edition of One Book Many Brisbane's and in 2008 she's published her debut novel, Brown Skin Blue through the University of Queensland Press.

Aimee Lindorff
Aimée is completing a Graduate degree in Writing, Editing and Publishing at the University of Queensland. She loves the diversity of the Brisbane arts scene and alongside roles at QWC and Queensland Performing Arts Complex (QPAC), she freelances at various arts venues and organisations throughout Brisbane.

Mandy Wildeheart
Mandy is a qualified English and Art high school teacher and has a Diploma in Freelance Journalism. She wrote a weekly column in the Townsville Bulletin for seven years and continues to write freelance articles. Mandy also organised the Townsville Festival of Writing, Write Up North in 2006.

Paul Oliveri
Following a 20 year career as a Paramedic and what he calls a sometimes painful though enjoyable writing apprenticeship, Paul holds positions as Northern Correspondent and Regular Contributor for a number of rural magazines and newspapers. He has also been a contributing author for several books and his love of writing has led him to work with Queensland Writers Centre.

Cherie Curtis
Cherie's strongest childhood memories are visiting her aunt's book-crammed home and penning her own stories on the bedroom wall. Her first literary win (the 1990 Writers Train competition) enabled her to meet authors like Thea Astley and inspired a 15-year career in journalism. She coordinates the Bundy Teen Writers, an offshoot of the QWC's regional creative writing program. Her favourite genre is fantasy.
Regional Liaison Officer Rockhampton
Judy Couttie
Judy’s love of stories and story telling has been in performance poetry and writing for, and performing in, community theatre. This has recently progressed to writing for short films. As Cultural Development Associate for the Rockhampton Regional Council, recent projects have included community workshops in Writing for Film and Scriptwriting for 10 Minute Plays and a songwriting workshop undertaken on North Keppel Island.
