Introduction to Creative Writing #1 (Class 3 & 4)

There are a lot of us out there who write, scribbling ideas on bus tickets, boarding passes and coffee shop serviettes, but who never seem to turn these notes into anything.

If you have been scribbling away quietly but have never taken the leap to finish anything or call yourself a writer, clear a few hours each week over four weeks to sit down and rediscover the art of creative writing in this practice-based series of classes.

Discover your unique writing voice, explore your creative writing abilities and allow your writing to become more than just a distant dream.

Introduction to Creative Writing #2: a Tool Box for Writers (Class 1 & 2)

This series of workshops explores the ways in which essential ingredients of creative writing can be exploited for their maximum potential.  Once you understand how plot, characterisation, dialogue and setting work within a story you can start to write more effectively.

Introduction to Poetry #2 Led by Graham Nunn

This four week series will look more closely at what makes a poem work, both on the page and on the stage.

Graham Nunn (Ruined Man) will help you develop techniques to finetune your poetry and your poetic voice.  Learn how to crack the poetic cliché and develop a body of work.  Graham will investigate markets for your poetry, through both publication, performance and festival appearance opportunities in Australia.

Perfect for anyone who has attended Introduction to Poetry #1, or any writer who has been dabbling in poetry and would like to take a deeper look into this beautiful genre.
