For a small fee, QWC offers an editorial consultancy service with a professional writer or editor. This is an invaluable service that can provide you with advice on your next move and feedback on a sample of your work.
An editorial consultancy is not an editing service. Rather, it provides developmental feedback on a sample of the first complete draft of your manuscript. It is intended for authors who have undertaken substantial work on their manuscript and are ready to invest in advanced feedback for the next stage of their work.
On receipt of a 20 page sample, a QWC staff member will partner your style of work with a suitable industry professional who will meet you for a 90-minute one-on-one (or telephone) meeting to discuss your work.
This service is only available to QWC members.

You may request a consultant of your choice when you book, however QWC cannot guarantee that consultant due to their availability at the time of your booking. Please ring QWC to discuss your editorial consultancy further with one of our staff.
Please note: Whilst QWC will work to match you with the most appropriate consultant for your work, we cannot guarantee your first preference due to the individual availability of our consultants and in some circumstances, we may be unable to assist. In such a case, your editorial consultancy fee will be refunded.
